Who would have thought Borderlands could be so addictive

Na na, na na na na na na na na
Haven’t been posting much on the blog but will hopefully get back on track with this bad boy. Right now i’m ploughing through a game called Borderlands which is sort of a first person shootemup mashed in with RPG. It’s very addictive and has got me off going on Mac land for a while (play it on Windows 7 you see!).

But yeah… i have loads of posts to update with, mainly those conclusive 2009 posts and uhm… yeah… should be updating this a bit more when i have the time. For now enjoy this photo of my Katamari t shirt. I’ve ended 365 last year and feel ever so relaxed that i don’t need to shoot something everyday nows. Though my poor camera feels every so neglected :(

Venice and Icecream

No idea when i’ll start uploading these badboys like crazy but i thought i’d start you guys off with this.

This was probably one of my simple pleasures during venice. The rule was, if i see a place that sells ice cream… i buy an ice cream.

The rule was good.

More venice antics later :)

Cufflinks of Doom

Cufflinks of Doom

Pretty much the literal name for these bad boy cufflinks. I don’t know why, but I always thought cufflinks were the sign that someone is growing up. Not the first paycheque, or the first time they’ve opened up an ISA account for their savings and what, it’s all about the first cufflinks for their business or dress shirts. No more of that pre buttoned shirt crap business malark (well… that’s not true but you know what I mean).

Anyway, they make me look pretty menacing, plus the design is pretty timeless so it’s an overall win ^_^

But yeah, this will be my last photo before I head off to Venice for the weekend. Will obviously be taking my camera with me so there will be plenty of photos to share after I come back ^_^

Muse at o2 arena – 13th November

Muse at o2: Smokey Knights

The 13th show was definitely better than the 12th, even Matt notices that and tells the crowd just that. Things were a lot tighter and the choice of songs were definitely more geared towards the fans and pushing the momentum the right way. Most likely won’t be writing a full on review on this night but it’s still worth noting a few things. Read on and whatnot…

Muse rendezvous by the oohooohoooSHUN!

Here’s another photo of Matt Bellamy live at Teignmouth, this is the Saturday show I believe. I’m dedicating this to Solamore who had her copy of Muse live at Jools Holland deleted :D

What else, yeah, I really like this shot so I thought i’d leave this as my latest photo so soak it up (or something witty and awesome).

Sometimes I search for good expressions, crazy actions, crazy lights, but sometimes, it’s just a matter of looking nice to the eyes and keeping it plain and simple. was tempted to photoshop away a few bits to make it more simple but I’ll keep it more genuine :)

Competition time

ANYWAY, here’s a competition i thought up of for Musers, on comments or my tag list, put in some muse board usernames that are based on the latest album, old ones include stuff like New Born Baby, Citizen Muse, Apocalypse Bliss etc. Best one gets a hug.

Muse Centre.

Thought the full stop was cool. So yes, the highlight of my day was being able to preview the upcoming Muse album. I resisted the 30 second previews since they were pretty bad representations of the songs.

This was held at Centre Point (get it?) by the lovely guys at Warner and we consumed alcohol and hot canapes (nobody liked the mini burgers). So yeah, quick lowdown

Uprising – You’ve already heard, disco

Resistance – Really liked it, the preview is so deceiving but it flows nice and smoothly with uprising

Undisclosed Desire – Felt a bit of a pop track, but loved it

United States Of Eurasia – Queen

Guiding Light – Bit too cheesy, went on for a bit though

Unnatural Selection – One of the rockier tracks, you can tell Matt is loving the harmonies

MK Ultra – Palm mute frenzy, all we were doing were air guitaring throughout the song

I Belong to You
– Loved it, the end is cheesy, make sure you bring baguettes to the gig!

Exogensis
: To lazy to review all 3 separately, but 3 was the best bit, beginning smells of Philip Glass, 2 sort of merged in quickly.

That will do, I was multitasking like crazy, had to leave work early even though I had a lot to do, i worked during the listening and managed to get a few things done (will be powering through tonight with a few tasks).

Afterwards we went to funland and played on the 2p machines until we won prizes (we sort of went into a frenzy instead of calculating each move, the games lasted quicker and we did eventually get gifts yay) We had Korean BBQ for dinner afterwards, that was tastey, lots of beef om nom nom.

Dawn Landes at Brixton Windmill

Dawn Landes at Brixton Windmill

Dawn Landes live at Brixton Windmill. After She Keeps Bees we manage to catch this lovely Brooklyn trio play folkish music. Dawn was nice and bubbly and the band produced some pretty ace music that kept us wanting more. During her set she broke her acoustic guitar string and was forced to use the red electric. All in all a lovely show and a lovely lineup, topped with a lovely Nando’s meal :)

More testing with the flash, quite like this bad boy since you cant see any shadows AND everybody has their mouths open :D
