Today I went to Yo Sushi at Fulham Broadway to eat some lunch and managed to snap some lovely shots of the stuff I ate, it was rather fun since I was letting fate decide on what I was going to eat, I stood on the platform at Southfields station (which was being flooded with tourists going to see Wimbledon) and just waited for the next train, if it went to Fulham I’d go Yo Sushi, and if it went to Wimbledon I’d go have a dirty KFC, glad I had yo sushi! now haha. Here’s the photos:

Apparently Popey wanted to have lunch with Julz because he didn’t get to meet her at Wembley and since I was living in London, he invited me to come along. I told him I’d do it if it was in Kingston and so we went to Kingston to meet up.
I was slightly late so they went to Shakeaways to get something to drink. Once at Kingston I went to the Phonebooths place and waited for them to arrive, I did wonder about for a bit but afterwards I went back and found them. We didn’t know what to eat initially so I said Gourmet burger kitchen. The problem is how to get to it, I wasn’t too sure so we just wondered for a bit, eventually like always I find Gourmet burger kitchen, I also told them that every Gourmet burger kitchen had a Nando’s close by and lo and behold, we saw a Nando’s next to it on the opposite road.
Upon entering we ordered our food, I got myself a lovely classic burger (same as Stu) and in addition, Julz and Stu bought chips. I’m always sly about chips, people always over order them at GBK so I always let others do the ordering and just steal theirs. In this case, Julz couldn’t finish hers so I just went at it haha.

We had a nice talk, mainly about bread making since Julz was revising that for her exam and all (yup.. bread!). I took some nice photos of the event and all. I even had another quick photography contest with Popey on who can take a cooler shot of the burger, we were only allowed one shot and Popey just did a random blind shot and hoped for the best, mine was a nice cross section of the burger which now makes me want to have one again *licks lips* hehe. Wasn’t much else to it really, we wondered into a game store for a bit and then we all went our own ways back home again. I actually had lunch again straight after because I was still hungry hehe.

Haha and you’d think after seeing Alice off to Kings Cross it would have been over. It’s been a while since I was on my own, but I still had one more gig to goto, Kiernan wanted everyone to go catch her mate’s band The Silent Years play at some random venue near Old Street. However since so many people didn’t live in London locally, not many people were able to come. Only Kazzie, Kiernan and I made it. Ho hum…

The final of the trilogy, this is where everything ends, the climax of the weekend (I do have an extra day with Kiernan and Kazzie but this was really the end of the weekend). Probably the best day and all too. We have already seen loads of Muse fans singing in a square, muse perform live for the first night, and met an ungodly amount of Musers through numerous locations including BBQs, pubs, and Trafalgar Square. Now we see the final night and say goodbye to quite a lot of people as we watch Muse for the second night to conclude this grand weekend.

Right, lets get straight down to part 2 of this epic triology (with a spin off episode where me kiernan and kazzie go see The Silent Years), a quick summary of the previous day includes me heading to yo sushi! going to trafalgar square to laugh at muse fans, heading to kazzie’s place for bbq and crashing at her place with Kazzie, Inn, Kiernan, Popey, Jon, Ste, Beast Bob, Lauren, Max and Aino. Everyone slept around 2-3am whilst I was being restless the whole evening. I managed to get about 2 hours sleep before cleaning the garden up and taking an ungodly bath. We continue off when people start getting up, ready for the first Wembley Stadium performance with Muse.

Right, instead of hiding from the fact that I had an godly time on Friday, I might as well start blogging the damn epic event! It’s strange when you blog, you feel obliged to do it but you hate spending ungodly amounts of hours doing it yet you don’t wanna miss out on any detail! So yeah, I’ll just get down to it. I don’t think I’ll put times and all since my memory for times that weekend is very poor! So anyway, enough bantering, hear it is… (more…)

Today I was going to turn japanese haha, not only did I go out for a meal at Yo Sushi! I also managed to check out a japanese technicolour pogo punk band called Polysics. I met up with Michelle at Waterloo station where she was getting her tickets, I was almost given a £20 fine for using the South West trains! My friends kept saying how you could use oyster with it but how were they wrong! They let me off and made me buy a single fare. Phew
Anyway, we went to Picadilly Circus to visit Yo Sushi! for some sushi action. Michelle was only going to try the veggie yakisoba as well as the inari nigir (tofu nigiri). I literally went all out again with salmon nigiri (softer and meltier than the BBQ weekend sushi experience) and also have some chicken yakisoba, chicken yakitori and prawn tempura. The food was yummy, though the prawn tempura was smaller than the other times I’ve had it, it was still awesome!

Michelle wasn’t too good with chopsticks so I gave her the easier ones hehe, but she said she’ll learn in future, not to mention drink more green tea because she liked it (other time she tried ginseng tea which was a bit more strong and hardcore haha). She enjoyed her inari nigiri and yakisoba which was good, the portions were perfect for her, its all about small bites innit.
We then headed off to Liverpool Street to meet Michelle’s friend from Virgin Megastores Rene. We then found the Spitz where Polysics were playing and got stamped for guestlist stuff, unfortunately it was a bit stuffy so Michelle decided we should go out for a bit until the band starts, we went to a closeby Tescos and bought drinks before the event. We than sat around for a bit and had a talk, I was being slightly antisocial with my WAP hehe oops.
We then go into the venue to check out the band. There were on by the time we were inside the venue again. They were AMAZING, exactly how Michelle described them, the term pogo in their self categorised genre was the perfect way of describing them, everyone song was pogo headbangable! The gig was intense and exhilerating, they wore their glasses throughout the gig, during the gig the keyboardist did quite a lot of cool and cute things including shaking pom poms (cheerleader style), playing the recorder and doing loads of vocoders stuff.
I was easily able to smuggle my DSLR camera, they weren’t really checking so I could have brought a gun for all I know. Here’s a lovely selection of photos:

The band were really cute since they knew VERY VERY little Engrish (yup Engrish), they sort of get their R’s and L’s wrong so they kept saying “HERRO!” hehe. At one point the singer said “Do you know what Porysics stand for?” “Porysics stands for ROCK AND FUCKING ROWW!” whilst sticking his middle finger in front of the crowd, so yeah, that explains the photo below in case you think they were up themselves and started swearing at the crowd, he simply had no idea haha.

One of the songs was called “I My Me Mine” and featured the keyboardist playing a cute recorder riff, I really liked it hehe.

The bassist was a crazy lady too, she downed a beer in front of everyone and went nuts during a few songs hehe.

It was an amazing gig, I bought myself a wristband and am now listening to their studio stuff, Michelle said Polysics should support Muse and I totally agree with it purely because the band would actually love them, not to mention the fans.

As planned months ago in advance (well not months ago, maybe two) we were going to have a BBQ this weekend, it was originally held somewhere in May but was postponed to 8th due to everyone being busy, but now it was definitely happening. Me and Inn had the heads up with a successful BBQ last weekend and Popey has been through an ungodly amount of BBQ’s before this one so we were well prepared for the weekend. It was suppose to be a nice and relaxed bbq before the ungodly event known as Muse wembley where we’ll be having tonnes of people at Kazzie’s house eating and drinking.
