Excuse the shaky video, really needed a monopod at this point! Emmy the Great showcasing one of her new songs at Union Chapel (Owl Parliament festival).

Florence & the Machine live at Hammersmith Apollo
Florence & The Machine live at Hammersmith Apollo. Quite enjoyed the gig, hammersmith apollo is fun for allowing everyone to view the gig with it’s rack slanted floor type floor thing. Florence Welch(ums) is uuber photogenic and has a lovely voice, though sometimes I feel like she should focus on singing at times rather than relaying it to the audience. She does get shouty at some points too which bums me out.

Perpetual Beta New Site Launchums
Right so here it is, the new site! I’ve been spending most of my mornings and afternoons coding this bad boy from scratch. Been playing around with jquery to try on some fancy stuff and overall it works pretty well The best bit is when you click on the exclamation mark! So yeah, as you can see, images are nice and large so you can enjoy the photos more! Being a site quite focused on photography it kinda makes sense to have large images. So yeah, enjoy some large unadultered images to further explain why the site redesign was needed
Looks like there’s going to be a new theme!
Here’s a little sneak preview of what the new site is going to look like. I’ve been spending most of the day trying to tweak the blog into something more tasteful, vibrant and most importantly, incorporating larger images for my photos. So yeah, this is kinda what I was looking for, for those who happen to be browsing the blog tonight may or maynot have actually seen the theme in action (was the easiest way to show friends and folks) but otherwise we’re still using the old one.
The theme was built from scratch and should work on previous posts, older posts will have some pixellated photos but meh! But yeah, let me know what you think.
I feel like redesigning my blog
Going to build this badboy from scratch again, want a more minimal feel with more photo related scripts and whatnot. I dunno, feel like I should be using more jquery to do something fancy pants! Not to mention do something so that i can show bigger photos, we love big photos!
Oh, reason of posting this… suggestions on what the new blog should look like? things you like and dislike about the design, SPIT IT OUT DAMNIT!
Joanna Newsom at Royal Festival Hall
Joanna Newsom live at Royal Festival Hall. Was so glad I went to both shows, the harp is such a magical instrument, even though it’s a monster to tune (chuckled at the thought of bringing a spare harp). Both nights included a cheerful Q&A session which all involved cheese.
I enjoyed the second night the most since she played Emily and Peach, Plum, Pear. Can’t wait to see her again, hopefully playing more from the 2nd and 3rd CD of her latest triple album whammy crazy album cd type thing. More photos since I’m a man with few words (to quote Bill Compton before he starts glamouring the police officer and taking his gun and stuff)…
She & Him live at Koko
Zoooeeyy! M Waaaard! Whilst everyone else went to ATP to watch she & him play there, I was stuck in London enjoying their first sold out London show. Was quite an awesome set, playing all the best songs of Volume One and Two. There was even an M Ward song thrown in there and a cover of Roll Over Beethoven. The show was showered with screams of “I love you zooey”. Poor M Ward! We love M Ward too
