Oh dear, the amount of abuse you can do with this bad boy! I’ve been using it just last night and have already got a few people using it. It’s a bit like the status feature on facebook, it’s a mobile and online presence tool that shows you what you’re going exactly, a bit like microblogging but in a mobile environment as well.

The bit you need to abuse the most is definitely the mobile part of it, for UK folks you can get text notifications of other people’s status’ which means you can stay disturbingly updated with people and all. Not only that, it’s also a gateway for free texting if you’re online since you can send direct messages to people they would receive it via their mobile. WordPress 2.3 upgrade!

Woo! I’ve managed to upgrade this baby to WordPress version 2.3, this means my tag cloud is all nice and pretty hehe. The upgrade wasn’t so bad except for the minor drawback of not disabling the ultimate tag warrior plugin which meant things didn’t work! Luckily I disabled the plugin, imported the tags and quickly removed tag warrior altogether to ensure everything worked, now I have some official working tags on my blog and all. Applying the code was easy after following the instructions and now it’s just a matter of tweaking the place up.

Hopefully I should have time to start coding my own blog theme so that everything is tweaked to my standards, will do a lot of planning and all to, need to make sure I know what’s going on before making any silly moves hehe.

Honey I’m home, 2 weeker in halifax

I decided that since I’ll be starting job hunting now, now that Alice has found herself a lovely job at Halifax (in Halifax). I believe my “holidays” need to come to an end and that I should start getting into the real world of finding a job and paying taxings like every graduate who wishes not to do their masters or doctorate. After a lengthy 30 minute thinking, I decided to plan a long visit to Alice’s place to ensure that we had enough time together and all.

The visit was slightly crippled though, mainly due to the fact that Alice’s job requires her to be at the office about 7-4 odd. Which meant that I would be spending most of that time on my own (that’s a lie, her family will be in the house most of the time). This is where productivity will see a massive boom as I ensure that the time spent when Alice is away isn’t gone to waste. I made sure that I finished blogging everything as well as start finding jobs around the end of the second week. We also had a day where we were going to spend with kev, inn, gem and paul for sushi and bingo (sushi being just with kev and inn). So yeah, quite a lovely one visit hits all plan. How could one refuse to go? (especially when Alice is living up there haha)

Catch up blogging

This damn blog requires some updates and stuff, I’ve really neglected it and all so I shall spend most of the time updating it, not only design wise, but content wise. I’ve decided to keep my entries nice and short now. I believe when you start enjoying life more than blogging, it’s probably for the best that the blogs are kept nice and concise (unless you hire someone to do the blogging for you). So yeah, watch this space, it will get a bit more interesting (since a lot of stuff has happened since)

Today was quite a disturbingly hectic day, so many things arranged and plan in the last minute. Kazzie spoke to me on msn and asked me if I wanted to go out and have Yo Sushi! with her and Stu. I originally was going to decline the offer since I was pretty tired from Regina Spektor gig and all, thought since Michelle was also inviting me to see We Are Physics at the buffalo bar as well I decided I might as well make the day of it and have a proper day out again.

Regina Spektor at Royal Festival Hall

Back in London I was going to go see Regina Spektor in the Royal Festival Hall. It was going to be a fun event since Regina Spektor photos always gurantee’d photos on explore as well as the fact that Royal Festival Hall having the most amazing lightings (see my Howling Bells photos). I was going on my own since nobody I know wants to come with me (they either don’t like Regina Spektor or don’t live in London). So yeah, last time I went I was on my own so it wasn’t too bad watching the gig by yourself, plus I was hoping to pop into the photo pit and take photos so I would have only annoyed the person I was with.

Harry Potter marathon

I believe I first started reading Harry Potter around the start of August, I only received the book from Alice through the post and I started reading it on the coach to Canterbury where I was having that housewarming party at Stu’s place. At first I only wanted to read it since Alice expressed how much she loved the books and I thought it would be nice to be a part of that. After that I was in a proper readathon.
