Well that was fun, after a quick trip to Rough Trade to get the tickets at 10am, a nice day at work and a cold breezy wait outside the venue till 9pm, I was able to catch Franz Ferdinand play the secret special rough trade show. It was pretty surreal seeing them in an ickle venue. They only played new songs (aside for Shopping for Blood) and they were pretty fun. I got to hi five all of them at the end. Pretty fun show. The setlist was:

-Shopping for Blood
-Ulysses

-What she came forThe show was cosy and intimate with the odd crazy fan girl screaming around. The guitaring was nice and raw and the bass was thumping and funky to dance to. Very traditional Franz stuff I dare say. Couldn’t hear much of the synth action which was a shame, maybe from where I was standing or something. They hanged around for a bit and I was able to talk to Bob about cameras (he was filming us with his G10 camera he just bought yesterday bless). Well worth £3.50 that gig.
