Once again, a day originally planned for sleeping and eating was rescheduled to another impromptu gig. This time it was Hauschka busking at Arnold Circus once again from the awesome guys at bandstand busking (keep the shows coming!). It wasn’t really announced via email or anything so it was only known through word of the mouth variety.
After meeting somebody for lunchies I discovered that I was actually late for the busk, I began running and dashing to the venue in epic speed proportions until I reached my FINAL destination. Still panting and wheezing I discover from Anika and Adam that I didn’t actually miss much since they were doing soundchecks. (mmm pre busk banter)
Hausschka was sat on the ground with his ickle white toy piano whilst a string quartet consisting of two violins and cellos were there to accompany the music. It was nice listening to the string quartet play in an outdoor environment and though the bandstand didn’t provide much acoustics, the sound was nonetheless full on and captivating (even the gangs came out to listen and talk of the lowly people wearing their oldskool converse). They performed 3 songs but it took quite a bit to get right due to background noises and other mishaps occuring throughout the performance.
Afterwards we went out for a late lunch at Nando’s, nom.
Hauschka busk looks brilliant. And Nandos afterwards. I’m well jealous!
